Default Just drove an XFR

I test drove a new XF-R and the XJ Supercharged at my local dealer yesterday & I`m still smiling! I bought my XF Supercharged before the XF-R came out &, at the time, it was the fastest XF available. I have been really happy with my car but was seriously impressed by the XF-R.

Get the XFR. It's a beast of a car.

Glad you liked the XFR, it really is a whole different beast. Now rumor says there might be an XFR-S in the pipeline later on.... I wonder how that will be and how fun that will run. The XKR-S is such sex on wheels its not even funny

Yeah - since Jag split from Aston Martin they have lost the barrier to growing at the top end and looks like they have some big beasts planned. Horsepower can certainly become addictive!

And since Jaguar has designer Ian Callum, who designed the XF(R) and contributed to the design of the DB9, they even look a bit like Aston Martins. You can see some elements of similarity (a good thing in my view) in the rear 3/4 view (XFR and DB7 below).

What did you think about the XJ Supercharged?

I'd love to wait and pick-up a 2012 XFR but the interior (while decent) just doesn't do it for me.

I did test drive a 2011 XJ Supercharged two days ago and it felt like a much smaller car than it is. A car this big should not be able to move like that, but it does....and the interior is PURE class! What a work of art!

I love what Jag did with the 2012 XFR's exterior facelift, but the XJ is so damn sexy and it's available now.

I have been very happy with my XF Supercharged. It was an early one so it (only) has 400hp but it drives very well and is great fun. I'll be sorry to lose it. The only surprising thing I found was excessive tyre wear. I have to replace the two front tyres at almost 50,000 km. These are summer tyres and have probably driven less than 20,000 km.
