Sorry..I don't see where the gains are. The box insulates the filter element from the heat generated by the engine. So opening it up like that just feeds your supercharger hot as hell air? mixed with the "cold" air that it normally would get through the tubing. The video you posted di sound pretty cool though. I just don;t think that you are getting any benefits other than great sound...which again,....was pretty awesome !!

 

Great work, is this on a twin airbox XFR? I had to loose my K&N filters and air box mods as the caused issues on my XFR at 2000 rpm and lumpy running. Love the sound!! Do you have any running issues??? Think I may give this go as its reversible.
