Default LF - Wheel Bearing 2013 XF AWD

Hi all,

Apparently, my 2013 XF AWD 3.0 needs a new LF wheel bearing for which the dealer is quoting $1400 in parts alone because Jag has consolidated parts to include the vertical member (still not worth $1400).

Does the bearing or wheel hub have a separate part number?

Thank you!!

In my experience, anything with a bearing in it can be dismantled and the bearing replaced; it puzzles me why car manufacturers some years ago went to throwing out entire assemblies rather than replacing worn bearings. The dealer is probably not interested, perhaps not equipped, to do this, but any decent independent workshop should be able to. Once it is dismantled, a bearing supplier would be able to measure, identify and source the bearing. One has to have very deep pockets to go the dealer path.

wheel hub on the awd is not bolt on. you're slide hammering the hub out, air hammering the old inner race out and pressing the new cartridge bearing in. the aftermarket bearings for an AWD XJ will be the same
