Default Mina Gallery intake for XFR

Sorry in advance if this is old news, however, I'm interested in others opinion in regards to intake options... Or lack there of.
Mina stated they are, and have been in the process of designing an intake for the XFR specifically. The intake (prototype) they were previously testing was apparently throwing off MAF codes etc. They'd like to fabricate an intake superior to TCP's with better materials and presumably better gains.
Now..... Worth waiting on Mina Gallery's intake??? Or.... Go with TCP since everyone here seems to like it. Or perhaps the lack of aftermarket intakes makes it easy to "settle" for the TCP...?
Thoughts????

Not sure if have spoken with Chris at Mina or not. He's always taken care of me with past purchases, but I do know that projects get moved back or cancelled from time to time.

As far as the TCP is concerned, it's perfectly functional, it's just not "special". And it's better than stock for sure in both looks and sound (not sure about performance as I didn't dyno before and after).

So depending on what you're looking for, you may not need to wait. There is also the other forum member who is in the process of making a carbon fiber one. Just look back at most 10 days and you'll see the thread.

I figured as much. I definitely appreciate the insight, although it appears TCP is all out of intakes for the next few weeks. It appears I'll be picking one up as soon as it becomes available.
Thanks!

Although a bit ambitious... I hope my signature resembles yours at some point, loving the mods Sir.

Thank you. It really doesn't take that much investment at one time...except for the tune. Couple hundred here and there and you'll be at my level. I sped up the process because I knew I was keeping it a long time, I had found it cheap and I was making extra money.

I really haven't modified my cars in the past, but did modify my motorcycles. After getting the ZX-10 done (resolved all the stock issues) I realized this car was deserving of the same treatment. My whole goal was to create the level of performance the factory could have if they would have wanted to. Of course they came out with the R-S later, but for 2010, I'd like to think of mine as an XFR+.

And one more thing. If I never did anything but the tune and the exhaust work, I'd still be happy.
