You can buy 4 DVDs at eBay for £20.

Default Great Advice

Dare I say it, but the nav system seems to be more useful and is actually giving meaningful routing information now (the previous 2008/2009 version was quite useless).

For the record, I inserted the disk and when I started the car it showed a prompt that it would be doing a software update which would take 15 minutes. The nav option is greyed out while the update is taking place. The update seemed to go without issue and the result is a usable nav system plus updated maps.

The $199 seemed to be worth it.
Genius!!!

Thank you.

That "Road restrictions may apply ..." warning was driving my car (an early 2010 that was build in May 2009). The dealer finally got new nav discs and replaced mine in January 2010 and that took care of the problem. So, I think if you get this disc, it will eliminate that issue for sure.

silly question, do the maps need to be updated in order?

I am potentially purchasing a 2011 car....was wondering if all I have to do is buy a 2016 disc

2009-2011 DVD's.... I can only hope that out of stock means that they are getting ready to FINALLY update the Nav Maps. It has been a long time. Message says check back in September. Fingers crossed that this is not another S-type or XK map update CF.
