New 2010 XF Supercharged owner
Hi - Just found the forum...I'm a 1 week old owner of an 80k mile 2010 Jag XF-Supercharged! Until a month ago, I didn't know the car existed! Was looking at another car on the local Lexus used car lot and this caught my eye...when I found out about the 470hp, I had to drive it! Loved it! I also ended up looking at an Audi S4, Mercedes E63, and a few others...kept coming back to the Jag! It's black and I think hard loaded...not actually sure what other options were available that mine does not have. It's in beautiful shape and was a former CPO car until 2 months ago, so hopefully the former owner took it in for any issues over the last 6 years. I'm a bit nervous about what *might* pop up as an issue, but crossing my fingers for at least 4-5 years of good fun with no major issues. I welcome any/all input. I'm in the Dallas TX area - Plano specifically.

Many thanks. I also wanted to ask if these 5.0 supercharged engines are kinda noisy?? Since I just bought it and have nothing to compare to it (there were no other SC's of similar age in the area to compare against when I was car shopping), but it seems kinda a noisy on startup, especially mid-car near the ground. From the rear I only hear the nice warm burble of the exhaust. Anyway, whatever the noise, it's directly related to the rpm rise and fall. Seems to go away or become more minimal when car is hot.
I've got much to learn about the car and have not even had time to program the radio yet, install my V1, wash it, or frankly "play" with it. Hoping to do that over this coming weekend.
But definitely thoroughly enjoying 470HP! This car is amazing on the road.

Sounds like it might be the torsion isolator, a common source of a "can of marbles" type rattle on the AJ133 SC, see here: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...olator-137560/
Also, being a direct injection motor, it's a bit rattly sounding at startup anyway.

Welcome. I also have a 2010 XF SC and it is terrific
Could be exhaust rattle - couple of brackets that hold it in place and it might be worth heckling for tightness.
Almost no options on that model - it came with everything except adaptive cruise that was an option I believe
Enjoy playing. Some good mods if you're interested - Mina exhaust for more V8 rumble, tint, wheels, etc. look around the forum - lots of ideas

Thanks. Mine has the adaptive cruise....have not tried it out yet. The sound system is amazing! I have a feeling the first thing I need to do is hook up the V1 detector before I get into some trouble. This car just begs to go fast....I've had a BMW M5, Audi S4, and a few other "fast" cars...this car is hands down ridiculously fast and with an automatic tranny to boot!

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on getting a great car! Always nice with a fellow Texan in the exact same car I have on the forum.
I've had my 2010 Jaguar XF Supercharged for about three months now and I've loved every minute if owning it. It is just about the perfect sleeper, few people expect it to be as fast as it is.
It has humbled its fair share of drivers who get in the wrong lane at the lights, despite knowing that they need to be in my lane to be able to make that turn, and arrogantly think they can easily out-sprint the big cat and then cut in front to make the turn. They end up quite surprised when they realize that the cat's got claws and many of them can't keep up even though I'm at less than half throttle.
What I like about it is that it does not have the visual "shoutiness" of M5:s and the Jaguar XFR for example, so people won't pull up next to you to challenge you all the time (happens to my friend in his M5 at least once a week), but this thing will beat 99% of all cars you pull up next to at the lights. Should you want to.
