Default New Portfolio Sport

Just picked up my 2012 XF Portfolio Sport today. Sold my 2008 BMW 550i. This forum has been a great resource. Thank you all for your posts and candor.

Hi Brazz,

I just ordered the 2012 portfolio. I am upgrading from the 2010 XF premium. Can you tell me (that is if you have used it) if the traffic message control channel for the navigation is as awesome as in other cars? This is great feature for some living in the DC metro area. For instance, in the ls460 the car will tell you that there is "stop and go traffic in 2 miles for 6 miles." AND it will ask you if you want to reroute!! You have to set a destination point first before it works, but it's great to avoid congestion. If you could get a picture of the pop-up that would be the greatest. Thanks, Jennifer

@ Jennifer
- I have not used the traffic function yet. The way it was described by the sales person and in the manual it seems to be very intuitive. I will let you know my thoughts once I've used it.

Thank you. The car has been great thus far....burns more gas than expected but not too bad considering the engine size.

I actually saw the first ever 2012 XF on the road today. Sharp looking car, especially with those sleek daytime running lights.

It's heavy but aerodynamic. On the highway he fuel consumption is low reflecting he uperb aerodynamics. Around town it burns gas like the heavy V8 car it really is.

You can get over 28 mpg with careful driving on he highway, windows closed, which is amazing for such a quick car.

Most of my driving is around town so it definitely burns like a heavy V8. That's okay, if gas mileage was a high priority I would have bought a Prius.

Hi,
I'm getting ready to order an XF Portfolio Sport, too. Can you tell me if the seats on the sport model have side bolsters? Thanks!

Default Aero kit vs Sport package

Your pics of the silver? XF Port Sport are really great!! I have a chance to get a 2012 XF port at a dealer at a great price but without the Sport package. Does anyone know if the Aero package looks like the Sport package (without the black out grill, special wheels and Sport interior) and it's cost?

I assume that a dealer would have to get the primed body kit, paint it and apply it to the Jag? Probably a pretty good mark up with an independent body shop charging a bunch to the Jag dealer?? Your thoughts, Tks
