Hello, my 1st post Philip Allsopp from Coventry England....Retired photograpgher..... 2009 XF preminum luxury 3.0 deisel......
.I have decided to replace all the nuts including the locker....(hoping they all come off easy) as I have seen some horendous problems on you tube.... received today from Ebay (of course) the attached I think it was a member who mentioned them..(billy??) anyway next dry day will change if possible....The reason I bought a new wheel brace was the original in boot has a crack in it!!!!!!
Yes just make sure you get the solid versions. The factory units have a sheet metal cap that causes problems and more than a few people have been stuck with a rim they can't remove because the lug nut has failed.

Regarding my post about wheel nuts.... I have done it... changed locking nuts first, they were very very rusted see photo...... 19 nuts came off fairly easily but the one i left till last...well not so....previously person rounded the chrome cove so 19mm would not do anything....managed to remove that cover again fairly easily, then used an 18mm socket and to my relief it came off..... now have 4 wheels I know if need to will come off.. see photos...if anybody wans 19 used nuts ans 4 very rusty used locking nuts with locking nut remover let me know.
