Default Oil inside supercharger

As the title says I noticed some oil pooling just inside the TB on the left hand side as you are looking at the engine.

The car is at the dealer getting the water pump replaced (46k miles) so I mentioned the oil issue he told me it is normal for some oil to pool in that area.
He said they would check to make sure the car is not burning oil which is the other reason the car is in the shop. I have been getting random messages about adding oil a .5 quart to a full quart but not consistently which also bothers me a little bit. The last oil change was at 41k miles.

I guess my question is should there be any oil pooling in the supercharger? and has anyone had issues with the electronic dip stick being inconsistent?

Some oil in the intake tract is normal, but pooling is not. most boosted cars need a oil air separator. Been thinking about putting an A/O separator to mine as Motor oil will cause detonation forcing the ECU to kill timing and performance.

Picked the car up it is amazing how much better the engine sounds without the sound of a water pump self destructing.

They again told me some oil was fine like you said and a little pool isnt uncommon so I will be monitoring the oil level. He did say the car was down two quarts so either the idiots at the south houston dealer do not know how to properly fill an engine or I burned two quarts of oil in 5000 miles.

Wow! Two quarts is a lot to be too low. I would seriously look in to that. a half quart is normal but anything more is not good even for a supercharged car.

That's what I a thinking, from what I have read these cars should go through a quart in 10,000 miles not two quarts in 5,000. That is why I am leaning towards a mechanic that doesn't know how to read.
