Default overheating problems

I was driving home today on a super hot day in Vegas, I turned the air conditioner to max (fan and cool temp), the air started not staying too cold and all of the sudden the warning message came on on the dashboard so I turned the air conditioning off and the car cooled off right away but came home and haven't moved it.

Angelica, we need a bit more info on your XF like
The year
the model
Engine size
Mileage
What warning you got
and any other info you think is pertinent.

I do Vegas quite a bit and have had 0 issues with my XFR cooling or air. The first thing I'd look at is the engine coolant level, If you have no low coolant issues, check for cooling fan operation, it and the it's controller are a known XF problem. The fan also provides air flow over your AC condenser and would also cause your AC not to perform well.

The outside temp on one of my many Vegas trips.
