Default P0171 P0174- continued. PCV leaks.

According to a local shop, and they are not Jaguar specific, a leaking PCV system is the cause of the issue. I have the 2010 XF Supercharged 5.0. To my understanding the repair on the PCV system can be brutal and expensive. Any forum users have experience or familiar with this repair? I would also like to know if the supercharger always has to come off for such repair? Thank you.

Ive done many of these. No need for supercharger to come off. Push back the NVH pad to uncover the cap completely. Break off the tabs on the cover. Make sure you break the tabs off the piece you're replacing. Remove the cover and diaphragm. Be careful to pay attention to spring as it could fly off. Check diaphragm for cracks as a further diag just in case in was mis-diagnosed. Install new diaphragm, cap, and old spring. Use a bigger screwdriver to put some pressure on the cover to click in place, but don't hulk it or you'll make a small repair bigger. Use a small mirror to verify its all clicked in. Clear codes and reset adaptations. Boom...done.

This is how I did my 5.0 but it is not super charged. Be sure you have replacements in hand because you will not be able to reuse the old cap.

Thanks for the info. I consulted the dealer about the repair and it is most likely not as brutal as I thought. They typically are able to complete repair for 500 to 600 dollars or less, and use the LandRover PCV repair kit.
