Default p0430 code.. o2 or the converter?

so got this but reading around here and other places just really doesnt seem to give a straight answer

got it off torque pro but i didnt build a car profile

i know you guys are pretty good on these things, any thoughts/ideas?
here some screen shots from toque pro

and if you do replace the o2s is it better to just replace all of them of just the messed up one..
and i have no idea abiut what sides bamk 1 or 2 etc is 🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

thanks

I guess we are in the same Jag(boat)

i used to do my own stuff on older chevys and fords but damn with the dealer cost on these things rather do it myself
the cost of the converters is crazy and the aftermarket ones are pretty up there as well unless its a universal one they arent too bad
and the o2 sensors are up there as well

wish i knew what exactly to replace and not have to do everything or just a couple sensors

You might do the checks specified in the workshop manual etc (free download).

i did check but i dont think its that but then the local mechanics wanna take you for a ride
a friend of the family who is also mechanic said it didn't seem like anything to that effect was happening..

i mean dang no other codes agter i cleared it on tur torque pro app.. this is the kne that keeps popping up
wish it was just easy to doagnose wether or not its just the o2 sensor(s) or the cat...

i hiessguess if its the cat might as well replace both? woth senors and all
but if its just the sensor just replace that...

oh man just dont wanna drop 1500+ if i just need to replace a sensor amd where i live theres no real reliable exhaust/muffler shops
🤷🏻‍♂️

my car ran fine with the exhaust leak and p0420 code. I wouldnt have noticed anything wrong bc it drove well. But the MIL light was illuminated so I checked the codes.

you can see a vacuum or exhaust leak by looking at the short and ling term fuel trims. Mine where jacked up. I also had a small intake leak where my air cleaner tube was a little loose on the aluminum intake.

great, thanks for the insight there
im assuming you took it to a shop or did you read thst with torque pro app?
mine has been running good but then i don't really know if my cat is messing up and cause further damage down the road.. and then with the lockdown and no work money is tight to just drop a big handful of benjis
and its just as i said the shops here will really just take the easy way and be like yea replace everything without doing those tests etc as you posted

i love my ride but damn not even my old Corvette and camaro parts were this much lol

I checked the codes myself with Sdd software I bought online. Cost $100 and was worth it!
