I think I posted this inside another thread, but I've noticed when my wife sits in the passenger seat the airbag light started to come on and off randomly.. Tonight it stayed on, this is a little worrying, anyone else have this issue? Someone said possibly the sensor, has anyone had this issue? But if it was the sensor it's sensing when someone is there because that's when the light comes on?

I know their is a recall on the airbags not sure will that fix it ? Any ideas? This is a safety concern at the end of the day I guess..

 

Is it checking her weight/size (as in my car) and she's on the boundary? (See handbook.)

 

Are you referring to the part in the handbook where it talks about child safety ? I can't see any info? What is the limit?

 

It's in generalised language in my handbook but the point is that's the kind of thing mine does and I wonder if yours does.

 

I haven't had many others in passenger seat so I don't have much to base it on.. But anytime she's in the car it comes on but I only noticed it happening last couple weeks. One day it went back off but the last time it stayed on.. She is small and weighs 110lbs

 

It goes on when my 8 year old daughter is in the front seat (very rare that I let her) but it stays off with any other adult in the front seat.

Give your wife a few cheeseburgers or get her pregnant and it should turn off.
