Default Removal of Door Sill Tread Plate

Anyone have advice on how to remove specifically the driver door sill tread plate? I’ve still got some remnant of the plastic delivery interior covering under mine that no matter how hard I try to stuff back under it, pops out over time. I tried to see if there were any posts on putting in the Illuminated sill tread plate as that would cover this removal, but didn’t see any. It kind of feels like it will just pop off and without any visible attachment points, that must be the case. But before I break it, I thought I would reach out to see if anyone knew of the appropriate way to remove it.

TIA

I would drive by the dealer and complain. This is unacceptable sloppy delivery on a new car. If you break it you will pay to replace. If they break it they pay.

Attached are the illuminated tread plate install instructions for what they are worth. I've also PM'd you a link with some real life pics that might help.

Thanks Duke! That's exactly what I needed. Turned out it was mostly the adhesive portion of the covering that was left. Which pretty much kept it from having enough material to be stuffed back under. Quick pull, pull of the "tape", a push back down and all was good!

Has anyone figured how to wire the illuminated
Tread plates to the blue accent lighting on the doors??

I would like the tread plates to stay on when the accent
lighting goes on at night, etc....

Stop spamming the board! You don't need to bump every tread plate thread. They all go to the top and we can all see them. lol

Find a wire that is hot when the lights are on and run that down to the tread plates. It won't be easy. You'd have to pull some panels and do some testing with a multimeter.

Apologize as I am a newbie to the forum.

Was hoping someone has done this already
Or even came up with a better idea.
