Default Replace Gas / Fuel Cap

The rubber holder that connects the gas cap to the door has broken and I want to replace it. Just need to know what's connecting it to the door. Is that a rivet? Do I need to drill it out?

Thanks

Why is your Gas cap yellow? Can the XF actually take E85?

No, it's not a rivet, just yank it out (The whole rubber part there). Believe it or not, using an old fork might help you if you slide it under so that the little push pin is between the teeth of the fork.

I have a 2014 XF 3.0 and yes, my car can use E85, but I don't.

The round bit you can see is a plug. You can lever the whole thing off with a small flathead screwdriver. Don’t damage the plug as the replacement fuel cap doesn’t have it. I’ve attached a pic of the part after you remove it
