Restricted performance - crankshaft camshaft correlation sensor

Restricted performance - crankshaft camshaft correlation sensor
I was just driving in my 2011 XF Prem ( 5.0l NA V8 ) and all of the sudden the "Restricted Performance" engine light came on. I luckily have a code reader and once hooked up it showed this: P0016 - Crankshaft position - Camshaft position Correlation- Bank 1 Sensor A I am not tech savvy at all and have no clue what this means Also I am still well within my original FACTORY warranty.. will this be covered? Any ideas or help? Thanks!
