Steve, this is a mainly US/North American forum, where they never got the diesel XF, so it's still not abundantly clear if your 3.0 V6 is the petrol or the diesel.

Needs to seal. Avoid K&N. If you have a diesel you may as well go to UK forum as there are very few such on here and diesel issues tend to be unlike petrol (gas) ones.
