Hi, so last year was a lot of maintenance but I'm still loving the car.

I may have already posted, but while dealer was waiting for parts for the timing job, the car sat for weeks without battery.

As a result, the car had many errors and I bought a module or 2, then did the research to find out they can be reprogrammed. Dealer told me I needed 2 more modules so I suggested they reprogram them. Reprogrammed some and was back up and running.

Sure I am late to the game that many others already know about this reprogramming but I am gathering info and parts now.

My 2026 goal is to become a little more self-sufficient;
1. I just bought a laptop, with USB connection (Maybe they all have that now)
2. I downloaded what might be the SDD software, whcih doesn't load fully due to a cable error
(This makes sense, I didn't buy the cable yet but see many on Amazon and eBay.)
3. I will buy the right cable.

My questions,
Anyone know the right software version for my 2013 XFR?
Anyone know the right or best cable to buy?

I am cheap but I am not asking for cheapest of anything, maybe ones that others used that worked consistently.
