Default So long and thanks for all the fishtails

My XFR goes to its new home tomorrow - I don't want to dwell on my loss, for it is not by choice but due to relocating abroad to a place where the sun does shine, but not on your average car guy. So I will bid you all farewell and thanks for an entertaining and useful forum that has certainly added to my ownership experience.

My XFR has been wonderful - if the dealers were as good as Jag's product, they would be nailing it. It is clear that Jag still have an image problem but as long as the product stays as good as it has been lately (XK, XF, XJ...F Type?) then in time they will be seen in the light they deserve to be. My car has been fun, comfortable and reliable - I have loved it dearly. I will certainly have another Jag in future, when the time is right. XJ SS or XFR-S please!

Great car you are going to miss it bad after your first trip in a smelly Toyota micro bus taxi.

You're going to miss it. Got to be worthy of a final pic:

Remember, you don't have to own a Jaguar to stay on the forum.

Thanks all - and thanks Graham - that was the day I got the car! I'll keep tabs on the forum. It won't be my last Jag!

Darlo, if you do obtain an SS, you had better be a regular contributor to the forum.

All the best for your future.

It will be a few years before I look at an SS, sadly!

I forgot to mention, I sold the car to someone I know, whose other half has a Maserati QP - a commonly considered XF alternative discussion on this forum. We swapped for a day or so. Quick verdict on the QP: Beautifully made; feels special; lovely sound; awful gearbox; great visibility; fantastic steering and brake feel; slow... Overall I would struggle to justify one over a well equipped NA XF.

darlo,

It's hard to come by good people, don't forget to drop a note from time to time.

Glad to hear your XFR kept you elated.

All the best!
