I have a 2011 Premium. On the tach, there is rpmx1000 legend. Mine does not light up. Since the car is a CPO, when it was in for service, I asked about it. The service manager at first said that if it was a bulb it would not be warranty, but if it was an LED it might.

He then told me the he looked at a couple of other 2011's and none of them lit up. I seem to recall that it lit up when I got the car. Can a Cat lover look at his/her car and let me know if it lights? Pics would be helpful.

Mine doesn't light up at all, ignition on, lights on, engine on, no matter what, and I don't think it ever did.

 

2011 Premium here. While MPH and km/hour on the left side are both lighted, the RPM x 1000 on the right is not.

 

No illumination on mine.
