Tire pressure not monitored idiot light
Went to excercise my 15 XF as it is spending the summer in storage and figured I would take it to top off the air pressures as it had been a couple months and the one tire has a slow leak in it. Topped everything off and made it about 2 miles down the road then the Tire Pressure Not Monitored light came on. It has stayed on as well as I went to grab it for a trip that I don't want to take the TVR on tomorrow. Is there a way to reset it? I did try disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes and nodda. Anybody know if the TPMS covered under the CPO warranty as I think my factory bumper to bumper expired in April (15 was a 4 year warranty right)? I do have a spare TPMS in the basement from a wheel my wife squared but if it is still under warranty happy to let Jag handle it.
You most likely won't believe me but does no hurt to ask. Another member on the board gave me this tidbit about an old Toyota he had and it worked.
If you plugged in a socket and phone to the lighter pull that out and see what happens. I was chasing the same fault for a few weeks until I was someone say this in the forums. No cost diagnosis for sure. Said the mechanic at the Toyota dealer told him of something like that.
