Default Tires for poor roads

What are some of the best tire options for 2010 XF Supercharged? The roads around here in certain areas are very poor, and very old/uneven. I can compromise on performance, looking for ride quality. Thank you all.

You want a bigger profile - which is really best done with smaller rims.

I currently have 20 inch Michelin Pilot Super Sports on factory rims. Someone had suggested that 19 inch tires can be put on the factory rims, I dont know if thats really possible/advisable. If i stick with factory rims what are the best riding tire? Many have suggested the Continental DWS. Thanks again.

It's not possible to put 19" tyres on 20" rims and that's a fact. A tyre bay would definitely refuse to do that.
Your only choice is a smaller rim, but, bear in mind that some alloys might not clear the brake calipers.

I realize I will have to stick with the 20 inch tires, unless I change the rims out, but I have heard that the Michelin Super Sports are not the most comfortable riding tires for the stock XF rims. Any other tire suggestions without changing the rims out?

I don't know of any "comfortable" or "soft riding" tyre in the stock Supercharged sizes (which I think are the same as the XFR and therefore 285/30/20 rear and 255/35/20 front), it's pretty much not possible in those tyre sizes. There is a much wider range of "soft" tyres in the 19" size, say 265/40/19.
There are a very limited number of 19" rims in the correct PCD etc which will fit over the 380 mm front brake calipers, I know all the OEM F-Type 19" rims do but not a helluva lot else and the F-Type ones would be very expensive for a full set in good nick.

Thank you all for the information. I will live with the ride quality, its not as harsh as the M suspension from my 335i. The road quality just stinks around here.
