Default TPMS Module - how easy to reconfigure with ECU

Please excuse me if this has been covered before, I have searched the forum and read several threads on TPMS issues on the 2010 Jaguar XF.
I have been "chasing" a problem with the TPMS for several months, the initail issue was the random and intermittent issue with Low Pressure warnings, I have all the wheel sensors checked, they are OEM and show good battery and reading accurately. I took to a local Jaguar specialist (not a main dealer), they ran a diagnostic and advised that the TPMS module was faulty. I have now replaced the TPMS Module and the error I am getting is "Tyre Pressure System Fault" .
My questions are these, will this be resolved when the car is "re-configured" to accept the "new" TPMS ? Can the car be reconfigured without taking to the Specialist/Main Dealer?
Thank you in advance for the help.

Possibly yes. It depends on how good the dealer is but in general you do need to code the module to the car.
You can do it if you have a working SDD which is what the dealer will be using.

The batteries have a roughly 7 year life span so regardless of what any checker says if they are around that age or older you will be miles a head to replace all 4 sensors. Yes the batteries are NOT replaceable. If yours are indeed factory swap all of them now.
