Default Traded my 2010 XF in for a 2012 XFR - Demo !

Traded in my 2010 XF and worked out what I thought was a good deal on a demo XFR. It's white with 3800 miles. Sticker was $89k. Got $20 grand off the sticker! Full warranty, etc. I can't wait for the rain to stop so I can take it out for a spirited ride. I just need to figure out how to remove that ugly front license plate!

Very nice deal and nice car. I am wondering whether to do the same with my 2012 XF. I was thinking F type or XFR? But I like 4 seater...decisions, decisions..

Congratulations on the car and the deal. Have you seen the hideaway license plates that stay hidden under the car and then slide out and up when activated? You will need to repair the holes.

Jaguny - do you know the name of the product? Yes, I plan to take off those ugly plates this weekend.

Nice car. The license plate holder wouldn't be so bad if it was set up in the correct place. They placed it too high on the bumper. It should not be located as high into the grill area. You could probably remove it, place it lower, and use the same holes that are in the bumper as the "correct" look until you decide on other options.

The license plate is placed high for a reason. All ACC equipped cars, have that very specific holder.

Mine came with the same one and i modified to fit the holder upside down right where it's supposed to sit. Although, i can't use the ACC, since it's blocked, but i rather have that than a holder that is covering up the sumptuous grille on the front.

Just google hideaway license plate. I believe there is more than 1 company that makes it. I clipped a youtube video that illustrates the concept.

I couldn't agree more! Already complained to the salesman. The plate is off and I ordered bumper plugs in Polaris White from bumper plugs.com. Dealer will install them.

Thanks everyone. What's the general consensus on the R Academy? Is it worth it? I don't know much about it.

R Academy? Do it. No doubts. You will learn where the limits are, how the car's settings really work and hence be able to enjoy the car with more confidence.
