Won’t crank won’t start
Got a 3.0 Diesel that had an issue with the inlet manifold anyway it went into performance restricted mode turned it off to pull the codes and it never started again?
it saying performance restricted in red as soon as you press the start button when it get to position 2 of the ignition? The gear selector doesn’t raise but is in park. We sent the selector for a rebuild they couldn’t find a fault and now we are completely stumped? Any ideas it won’t even try and crank?

battery is good and is fairly new
no fault codes at all checked with sdd and a snapon reader.

So just to be clear as it's unusual not have any codes are you saying there are no codes at all ( even historic, seemingly unrelated ones, or non powertrain module ones ) when read with SDD?
Has the battery been disconnected since it last ran? ( BTW that's not a suggestion! )
If so was it disconnected before the first attempt to start it after it last ran?
Has the manifold been replaced yet? ( double check no one disconnected the battery if the answers above were no, as they were working near the pedestrian airbags )
What year is the car?
If you hold your foot hard on the brake while pressing start, does the "alarm" light on top of the dash illuminate for a full minute then start to blink two digits codes out?
( if so what codes )
BTW the gear selector doesn't normally raise till the engine starts anyway (i.e. it's not up in position 2 of ignition )
I suggest running a network integrity test in SDD, as it seems the instrument cluster is being informed of a fault from the PCM, but you just can't see it in diagnostics.
Also go through the test procedure for the brake pressure, and lights described in https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...51842-3692.pdf
