Hi Guys,
i had a strange message on my console about the DPF being full.
so i put in sports mode and thrashed it on the highway.
all hell broke loose! it took off like a rocket even without my foot on the gas. I had to use the break to get it's attention then it told me DSC wasn't available then it said Performance was restricted.
my thought now is that it's the chip playing up.
any thoughts?

That's nasty. There's no way a DPF Full message should make that happen.
Are you still under warranty?

 

I'm sure the DPF message wasn't real. I think that when I raised the revs, as i did in sports mode, the electronics went wild and sent spurious messages.
I have been driving it normally since with no issues.
I have it booked for analysis with Jag on Monday but as it's not still under warranty I'm expecting a big bill.
