XF 2010 Fuse Box (Bonnet) picture
Hi I’m new to this forum and this is my first post. I’ve has my jag for almost 5 years. It’s a 2010 XFS, Portfolio.
Can someone who has a similar year XF send or share a photo of their fuse box Setup? The one in the bonnet. I suspect a garage may have mistanigly taken out the relay that services the Windscreen washer pump. After my cam cover replacement the washer no longer works.
thanks

XF v6 3.0 Diesel - 2010
Thought I would post an update on here, I just came back from Jaguar in Hainault who had a Fuse Relay waiting for me (No 18) , I tried placing it in to the cavity where I was told by F1AutoCentre there should be a relay for the windscreen washer! However, the relay doesn't sit in there, it wobbles about and clearly there are no metal strips to hold the relay or for that matter to make a circuit /conduct it. So the relay/fuse missing was a red herring.
My thoughts now are that it could be the Windscreen Washer Pump itself, which sits behind the drivers side wheel arch just in front of the throttle pedal accessible by taking the drivers side wheel off.
I have had the pipes cleaned on a previous visit to an F1autocentre who were very helpful and always are (Woodford) but im wondering whether anyone else can think of what else it could be? Jaguar have quoted me £92+vat and labour for a new pump. Is there anyway of testing he pump?
Also, is there a separate pump for the light washer, because the light washers seem to be working fine.

Sounds like the pump but on my XJ the headlight and windshield washers use the same pump but I am not sure about the XF? Can you trigger the headlight washers separately from the washers for the windshield?
I would drop the fender liner and check for power at the pump first and then report back what you find.

Windscreen Washer Pump
After having a difficult time taking the front drivers wheel off using the jaguar supplied Mickey Mouse car jack and wrenching finally got access to the wheel arch. Took off the bottom side two plastic screw clips and managed to replace the windscreen washer pump. Note as soon as you unplug the pump, any water in the reservoir will gush out.
After initial tests there was a disappointment as it didn’t work properly , only a trickling if water.
However I filled the reservoir to top with hot water (not boiling) tried it a few times and eventually the trickles became a jet!
This was a Jaguar XF pump I bought off eBay for £13 inc of delivery. It might not be the sabecwuality but jaguar were charging £90+vat and £120 per hour labour charge. No doubt there would be a diagnostic charge too. A nice little saving!
Thanks everyone for your help on this.

Relay location
Jaguar 2.2 Diesel XF Sportbrake July 2013
Hello, Can you help? Please see my post below (first post) I am having trouble to locate the relay.
I have a noise from the rear left of the car diagnosed as a faulty compressor for the self leveling.
I have sourced a recon unit which looks correct but the documentation tells me to replace the relay which is supplied.
Can anyone tell me where this relay is locate it is marked pins 30,85,86,87. Do I need to regas the system?

Hello IT thanks for your response.
There are 3 relays in the boot section but none are marked. Jaguar are on shutdown but I think they will not part with the information.
I will remove each relay in turn and see the effect, hopefully the compressor will stop working and I will have the location.
I will let you know.
