XF Battery Drain - Help Please
New Owner of 2009 XF Suoercharged - the battery keeps draining. I have replaced the battery twice, no issues with the alternator or the starter. I've seen posts about this but no resolutions. Is anyone else familiar with this issue or the resolution? Any help will be welcomed!! Thanks in advance.

Had something like this a month ago. Dealer found the battery to be duff and changed it. No problems since.
As you have already done that it would appear that something is remaining 'on'. Boot light perhaps? Maybe take the bulb out and try that. Make sure all the 'auto' switches eg lights, wipers, climate controls are switched off [just to eliminate them]. For me, I'd guess a light is remaining on.

Make sure you lock the car when you get out at all times so the electronics shut off. This includes locking it when it is at home in the garage. If you don't drive it every day you may need to have a battery maintainer hooked up to the battery. If you don't drive far enough the alternator won't be able to keep the battery fully charged so you will want to charge it occasionally.
There were a few software updates to help with the drain issues. I don't know if I have all of the updates but I had some when it was under warranty. I drive my XF every day but I do still see that the battery drops down to the 75% range (Die Hard Smart Charger) over a month or two. I top it off with my charger every few weeks.
Newer cars have a lot of electronics that suck power. My daycare lady had similar issues with her 2015 Buick.
