Default XF - Engine Light Issue

Anyone have issues with engine light? I have 1200 miles on my XF Prem Lux. It sat in the garage over the weekend and when I drove it today, the light was on from te point I started the engine. ANy known issues?

get it to the dealership
and let them diagnose
as far as known faults no
best advise would be to just get in into the dealer

make sure the gas cap is on tight (on one of my other cars, if the cap isnt all the way on, the check engine light comes on after about a day).. if it is, get it to the dealer like ibjags suggests..

Seen 3 problems for check engine lights so far. All minor. 1. Misfire codes.....bad fuel. Not cars fault.
2. Secondary air injection code. No fix for it, software glitch. Cleared code and hasnt been back. 3. Evap emissions. Replaced DMTL pump. Side effect of this was also Check gas cap showing on cluster.

Take it to the dealer so you can get it looked at correctly.

It turned out to be a bad sensor that had to be replaced. Up and running fine!
thanks

Yeah, sai system is ****. Got word theengineers are trying to get a fix in the works. Likely software to just disabled altogether.
Entirely uneccessary system. Cats heat up fast enough without that.

Just for reference for the list. The CEL came on my 2014 with 500 miles on it. Dealer says it was the plug going to the coolant temp sensor.

I just had the same issue with my 2009 premium luxury model with 58,000 miles. It drove ok but the engine light remained on. Checked gas cap - ok. The dealer replaced an O2 sensor, about a $400 repair. Runs fine and no dash light.

The 02 sensor was my first guess but I called my dealer they said they never had to change an o2 sensors on a xf -_- Guess my dad was right.

Do you know wich one they change and the part number ? it should be on your bill !
