On the back half of the trip I increase my speed to 75 - 78 mph and got 22.8 mpg (Used 91/92 octane in Arizona/CA). Combined for the 1380 miles was 24.6 mpg. This is very promising considering the official mileage for the 6-speed XFR is 21 mpg.
Don't get used to these numbers though: I have a 2015 XF V8 S/C (essentially a similar car to XFR, minus cosmetic tidbits/power) and in San Diego I average 13-16mpg. I do drive like an *** though

Enjoy the car though, she is an absolute hoot!

Mine averaged 23.1 while driving about 300 miles that included climbing a 3500 foot elevation change (otherwise known as the Grapevine) at speeds between 75 and 90 mph. That's as good or better than my 08 G35 sedan at similar speeds. But it only has 5 gears and isn't geared high enough to be off the cam at higher highway speeds. Good thing my company pays for my gas.

DPK...There are states that have regulations about who can pump their gas and California isn't one of them. Your home state of Oklahoma also has no such laws. I can't imagine why such rules even exist, but would hate to offend anyone prognosticating in a humorous manner about such things.

And now that I think about it, most states would frown on pimps smoking while they fill up.
