XF Lugnuts
Hey guys and gals,
My XF has wheel locks on them and wanted to take them off before they cause me trouble.
I realized the lug nuts are like the X-type/S-Type with the tin cap that causes some issues especially during emergency removal.
The question is, did any of you change them to a Dorman solid lug nut? What was the item number/ style of lugnut that you used?
I wasn't sure if its the same replacement Dorman as the X-Type/S-Type.
I am going to change them all if I can find a replacement solid lug nut.
Thanks for the help in advanced!

Yes. Be aware the Dorman are good and they are a solid one piece lug nut BUT they are NOT stainless steel. So you will get some rust on the edges where the lug wrench touches them.
We have had numerous and long winded threads on these crappy lug nuts over on the S Forum and the Lincoln LS guys have even more on them!
Try a few:

The XF and S Type are the same under the skin. Yes the exact same lug nuts on both cars.

I have always had good luck with gorilla lugs on all of my other cars. I've run them for years through all seasons here in MN. I haven't swapped out the XF lugs yet but I'd probably go with gorilla lugs when I do.
