I have 2012 XF and managed to scratch the Jaguar steering wheel emblem.

Does anyone have an idea on getting a replacement (Australia or overseas) emblem and also how to install it.

The dealer is Australia is stating that the whole unit including air bag needs to be replaced which I can't believe.

I purchased a 09 and the emblem was bent in as if the last guy punched the steering wheel. Anyway they said the same thing. If I wanted to replace it I would have to change the entire airbag assembly and it would cost around $1K Canadian...not worth it in my opinion...

I think you are out of luck unless you replace the entire thing but I have the same knowledge as you and that's what my dealership told me.

 

As crazy as it sounds I've also been told the same thing. I've seen guys post links to emblembs from eBay that would possibly work if you peeled off the stock one but as they aren't designed for the airbag you're possibly putting a lethally sharp chunk of metal right in the center of the bag. I believe that's the main reason it's all or nothing.

Curious what you decide - is there any way to fix the scratch?
