Good day to every Jag fan,

Please take a look of the attached pics.

This is my rendering of how the original XF should have looked liked. Because the facelift fixed the headlights but ruined the perfect rear side. Also, I don't like the LEDs it made the Jag look like an Audi. Do you think those headlights could be done aftermarket?

PS: Ever since Jaguar released the original XF I began thinking what's wrong with those headlights. They seemed too big, the turn signals seemed overly complicated by the orange American style ornaments. Too Volvoish.

You can buy the eye brow pieces from Mina now. The come in carbon fiber but they basically remove the headlight bump. You could paint them to match if you didn't want carbon fiber. Some have posted pictures of ones that are molded to the hood so they look exactly like your pictures.

I disagree with people's comments that the original headlight design was ugly. In fact, if everyone recalls, the XF was a "bridge" car from the old Jaguar design language to the new one. Round headlights with the pontoons harks back to the original Jaguar design. I actually think that Ian Callum did a great job of creating a new design but with some heritage cues. It also is unique to the XF. Now, although I do think that the new XF is cool looking, it looks like other cars, and looks almost identical to an XJ.

i thought the XF was gorgeous when the XF came out....but i absolutely hated the headlights.....it added a goofy look to what should have been a mean front end

and then i saw the facelifted model and felt cheated lol.....the new front end is absolutely GORGEOUS and should have been exactly what they launched the car with
