Thumbs down XF water in the front passenger well

Has anyone one had any experience with water in the front passenger well on an XF? I have read other forums there is a known issue on the XK's with the Air conditioning drain pipe however I cannot find any references to the XF. Any help would be great.

I had it happen in a Jeep TJ, heavy rains made their way into the cabin air intake was all I could come up with. The fan for the interior air was sitting in water...

Highly doubt that helps, especially since the cars are from a land of rain and just a hair more refined than a TJ!

What year? Early XF had door seals fitted by hand and there were some issues. Later cars have door seals entirely robot installed ( fun to watch this) and are reliable.

UK post, so if we assume a typo in the 58 then he means '08 which is the first XF model year in the UK. In North America the 08 was sold as an 09.

Yes sorry it is a UK XF, however it is a 58 plate which is the 2nd half of 2008 as the year is split up in two plates in te UK

We stand corrected! The UK issues registrations to the car which stay with the car like a VIN and indicate the year of registration these are transferable but somewhat convoluted to do. There's a healthy business in the UK of transferring weirdly "personalized" "reg" numbers. Vanity plates aren't permitted so various illusions of meaning are ascribed to otherwise random reg numbers. Check out a UK car mag and amuse yourself about the lengths people can go to to add value to a registration plate.

Over here we just spell it out in the 7 or 8 permitted characters, pay the guvmint and screw on the plate ( in the UK you can stick it on or even paint it on).

My favourite so far was "beater" on a nice Merc coupe driven by a blonde. Apocryphal but possibly true was "phuque", both have one character to spare!
