Default Xfr 2010 engine slows down when you gun it hard

Hi I don't know if anyone knows about this issue but I have a 2010 xfr I was racing someone and when I slammed on the gas hard it feels like the engine is pulling back and it doesn't want to take off I don't know if this means the superchargers not kicking in properly or if there's an engine issue it drives great normally but if I really want to hit it hard it feels like the engine is pulling back and you can hear a noise like it's bringing the engine down almost like it has a governor on it or something can someone please tell me if they have the same issue or is this normal or should I have it checked out

What speed and what gear? Try it in S instead of D mode?
Check to see if any codes stored in the ecu.

It could be any of these;
Blocked fuel filter.
Blocked air filter.
Vacuum leak.
Low fuel pressure from the pumps.
Worn spark plugs.

I'm not sure if a slipping blower belt would give that symptom!

Because a clogged fuel filter can deliver just enough fuel for normal driving, but will limit the fuel flow when max power is requested. That will cause the mixture to go lean and the engine starts bogging and kicking.

BTW, you should check your keyboard, certain keys like . and , seem to be out of order. It's a pain to read.

Cheers

Add clogged catalytic converter(s) to the list.
