I was under the impression it was tuned to 600BHP, different exhaust, remove speed limiter (obviously), & that spoiler on the back, the rest was standard. Also read that if it was to put into production it would most liekly be called the XFR-S

Which begs the question, how fast will a production XFR go without the speed limiter? You tech wizards should be able to defeat it real easy

I did a Google search on Jaguar XFR 225 and it lit up like a Christmas Tree! Anyway, best guess based on the various websites is that the ECU and supercharger settings were modified to attain around 600 hp. Other than that, the engine was standard. Modifications were to the suspension, adding a spoiler, air dam, roll bar or cageand a parachute mostly to satisfy safety requirements. Most likely this will be a limited production car called the XFR-S. If it were up to me, I'd call it the XFR 225. Interesting to note that Paul Gentillozi (sp?) couldn't apply full throttle until over 150 mph andeven then was recording a 6% wheel slip.
real tech -the car actually came to my dealer on friday.. before our big auto show.. sat in our showroom for 25 minutes it went to all the dealers.. in our city as pre auto show event..
Can safely say the AJ-V8 gen 2 engine is a class act, just read an article in last month's top gear magazine about it.
Also in interview with Gentilozzi about the condition of the flats, water caused the wheelspin, and he actually drifted it at around the 200mph mark, outstanding car and driver then....

2-2-5-.-6-7-5!
Nice I wonder how much different that engine is than my 03 xjr. I remember reading on some forum, maybe here, the crank and block can pretty much be swapped between the 4.2 and the 4.0 but that is probably the new 5.0 AJ-V8 though.

Looks a lot different so far, mostly crazy ecu variable length intake manifold?! Direct injection, ecu controls how much exhaust note is tuned into the cabin! Still uses the roots type supercharger tho, imagine how a twin screw would do in that beast.
