XFR Air Intake Upgrades ( Can't find any )
if I remember correctly, it does not. It’s supposed to have smoother flow because there are no bends after the split and no welds. The piping is still 2.75 inch diameter.
I am noticing more and more on IG and online these Ramair filters increasing in popularity. Both on the XFR's and our other car, mk1 Audi tt! They seem to be very popular in the UK as well. One question I have is about the foam breaking down. Any valid concerns there do you think? I like the thought of the non-oil, but worry about foam breaking down and traveling in. Again, I've ran foam before and didn't even think about this, just curious if its something to monitor.
Please keep me/us updated if this turns into a production. I would be interested in having one of that affects price for you.

I hadn't even thought about foam breakdown but honestly the quality of the filters seems to be good, so while I'm sure it will break down over some years I figure I can afford to change them (e.g.) every 3 years to avoid this.
BTW, the racing Project 8 I posted a picture of above is running a custom intake made by ITG who are also another company who sell foam filters, so likely has the same thing inside those carbon fiber heatshields.

I did notice that! <3 I have ran ITG before which is what made me love foam years ago vs paper. I guess before I buy a mina kit or a pair of drop ins, or make my won setup like you have, I am just speculating of what drawbacks could show up down the road using foam vs another media.
My thoughts on this over-discussed but rarely properly backed discussion is that the Mina tube, or something similar, proper thermo management, utilization of the stock air snorkels, and maybe some custom heat shields to close off a cone/cylinder filter and finally a TUNE to adjust for any changes "shoudl" be better, but not worse. If I could gain the sound and look of the intake without sacrificing power i'd be happy.

It doesn't matter much, but AirRaid (not RAMAIR) is a Phoenix, AZ-based company which was bought by K&N in May of 2015. Not sure why or how much they've leveraged each other's technology, though... https://www.aftermarketnews.com/kn-engineering-buys-airaid
I've got an extra K&N filter which fits the RAMAIR dimensions' requirements referenced on these open intake threads, and could get another for fairly cheap. Any reason you guys are using RAMAIR over K&N, etc.?
