I have a 2010 XFR. When I open the car, I get the 2 blips from the horn, and one when i lock it.

Is it possible to disable this in the preferences anywhere?

You can check your handbook, but I believe the dealer has to do it with the Jaguar computer.

 

What market is your car for?

My US market 2010 XFR makes no beeps for door locks whatsoever... even when punching the remote lock.

The dealer will need to alter this for you. My dealer wants an automatic $120 anytime they hook up to recode my car... hopefully you can find one that will do it gratis.

Usually the horn only beeps if someone without a key hits the button on the door. Mine has never honked at me for locking or unlocking the door. Could be an issue related to the remote.

 

What ?? My 09 XFSC just started to beep twice when opening the door at night only and beeps once when closing.........verrrry strange

 

Mine is a US market 2010 XFR and Beeps twice when I grab the door handle to open and once when I lock it.

I'll ask the dealer and see what they say.

What does "US market" mean ??

 

Cars that are designated to be shipped to the US from the factory. Cars shipped to different countries may have different features enabled and options, engines, etc. A lot has to do with the laws of the country it is shipped to.
