Default XFR - Front Splitter

I am assuming other XFR owners have found that the very low (and gorgeous) front splitters do not like curbs and parking lot cement markers.
Has anyone dealt with this? Looking for options.

I see Mina has CF replacements... any experiences?

Thanks as always.

I actually have found my xfr to be the perfect height to not scrape on most normal curbs and speed bumps. The mina cf splitters definitely look awesome and I'm thinking about picking up a set myself but the way they look to install they would actually make your front bumper effectively lower and more vulnerable to parking curbs. I say pick them up just be careful how you park
Good choice on the color combo as well!

Wink

Thanks WRX... Does your XFR have the small additional wings/splitter under the front bumper? Mine is litterally 5.5 inches off flat ground. The look is awesome, but with the extended nose its quite difficult to see how close you really are to the curbs and leaving 2-3 feet gap makes your back-end stick out! I think I am going ot try the Mina replacements, just curious if anyone else is dealing with the same thing.

Hmm I will have to measure the height off of the ground. We also have different model years so your bumper might be lower now than mine is. Here is what my front clip looks like:

I didn't see a version of the CF splitters for the '12+ models on their site, but this is what the '09-'11 look like:

It looks like they just attach underneath the stock bumper protrusions.

Is that the original "R" logo that you had affixed to the grille? I love it. Could you tell me how you did it?

It is thank you! The previous owner had it attached to the ACC module below the grille for some reason. I pulled it off, picked up the strongest strength double sided 3M tape from Lowe's, cleaned up some of the old adhesive tape on it, warmed it up with a hair dryer and stuck it on. I used a good bit of pressure so once it cooled it was on there pretty good.

Thanks again for the photos... I think the 2013 is quite a bit different.
This weekend, at anohter stop, I found the curb again and though I would just post the photos... this curb was a normal 6 inches... and the '13 XFR just doesn't like it! I am realy looking for replacement options. Mina only has CF versions for 09-11 models. I've inquired about more.

Hey fcastora,

Mina does have the update splitters.. I know this as a fact because I measured my bumper and made a outline for Chris. He took my outline and produced splitter for my XFR out of carbon fiber.. Give Chris a call and he will hook you up. And no, They are not on his web site yet.. LOL..
Tell him Herbie from philly sent you and maybe you can catch a discount..
Good luck..

Yes, Mina have them for the 09 to 13 model year. I don't know what changes they have made to the 2014 bumper but if its like my 13, it should fit.

Turn your parking assist on when you are pulling up to a curb it will detect the curb so you won't have to worry about damaging the front.

Ordered them on Saturday after installing the new mufflers.
Also just received the CF hoodvents and will post photos when installed with splitters.

Good luck with them, Let me know how you make out. I haven't had a chance to install mine yet. When I go to work its dark and when I return, its getting dark. My first full day off, I will install them along with my CF engine cover and hood louvers. I'm toying with the idea of re doing the chrome mirror covers and side vent covers from chrome to CF. I think it would match better.
