Default XJ vs XF reliability

I am in the process of shopping for another vehicle. I am the previous owner of a 2010 XF Supercharged 5.0 . I am looking once again at the x250 XF models or possibly even x351 XJ models. I am thinking the XF overall will have better reliability than the XJ? Am I correct? Thank you.

Drivetrain wise, both are similar, as they use the same engine/transmission config. XF overall is slightly more reliable because it lacks some of the additional electrical components in the XJ. The earlier XJs have sunroof popping issues and the rear suspension has air springs, which are generally troublesome. The XJ is more advanced with its all aluminum chassis and overall exterior and interior design. Because of the all aluminum construction, the XJ is very similar/slightly lighter in weight compared to the XF.

Thank you. I will stick w the XF models in that case, less to go wrong.
