Default XJR wheels on 2012 x250 XFR

I didn't see much around about fitting the wider XJR wheels from a 2013 -2014 car onto my x250. I recently did this for the looks, wider tire, and lighter wheels. The stock XJR Farallon wheel is forged and possibly 10lbs (ish?) lighter than my xfr wheels.

They fill the fender much better, and everything fit without any rubbing issues. The XJR wheels are wider and the rear tires went up to 295/30 so i was worried about that. On a side note the newer XJR tpms worked as well. All around I am happy with the upgrade.

Stock XFR left, new XJR right

Thanks guys, yeah I'm really pleased. It was a good way to get into a forged wheel while retaining the stock fitment and quality.

Plus they are so much easier to clean and hide brake dust way better too!

Jim,

The wheels look great!

I am thinking of buying this wheel for my XFR - a couple of quick questions - do the wheels clear the brakes all around (front and rear) and do the wheels/ tires rub at all -

Any help/input would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance!

They cleared the brakes, i wasnt worried about that because the XJR has similar (maybe the same) giant brakes. It is really tight to them, but they clear.
I haven't noticed any rubbing, but I was washing wheels a couple weeks ago and noticed a stripe where it touches the wheel well plastic at full lock. It hadn't contacted much, but you could see where the dirt was rubbed away. Not a problem.

Also, update to above. I said that the xjr tpms swapped right over no problems. Not true, after a week or so a message popped up "Tpms fault" and it looks like my only remedy is going to the dealership. I haven't been driving much so i haven't gone yet.

Now i need to sell my Oem Nevis wheels

Jim,

Thank you! I am somewhat torn between this wheel and the TSW Bathurst wheel at 21" It will sit a little differently and I may have a hard time finding Jaguar center caps as the caps on the TSW wheel are larger in diameter.

Thank you again for all of the good feedback.

This is the Bathhurst.

Those are nice wheels. I can make you some center cap decals. Whatever size you end up needing based on the inserts

Jssaab,

Thank you for for your reply. Would the decals work or would they peel off over time? Do you have photos/or a link to see what they look like/ pricing?

Many thanks in advance!

Love the look of these wheels on the XF, superb choice. If I ever replace my XFR rims these are 100% what I'll get.

Pretty sturdy, UV resistant Urethane domed metallic backed stickers. I make them for the start button and rotary transmission selector. but have had them on my Saab hood and trunk badges for more than a year. Still look great. The one on the right for the Saab is the original 15 years old new on right (Hirsch is a Saab tuner)

Here it is a year later. I took out the old one to see how it weathered.

Probably 4 for $20, but may be 25 if the center caps are larger than 1.75 inches (requires a different set up)

Here is the R version I do for the Shifter https://www.ebay.com/itm/264751847030 I can make it the right size for you center caps.

Its on brushed chrome here with the lettering written translucent on the chrome ( would look good on chrome wheels) I can do carbon fiber or any any color and brass

The stock XFR rear wheel offset is a yuuuuuge +66 which pushes the outside edge way in under the fender, while as far as I can figure out the stock x351 XJR rear wheel offset is +49.
So swapping the XFR wheels out for XJR wheels will push them out by 17 mm which seems about right judging by the pics.

Jssaab,

Those are great photos - You do excellent work! If If I wind up going with the TSW wheel choice, I will most likely choose the OEM look pf the red growler on the Start Button for center caps.

Also, a big thank you to all posts for invaluable information and opinions/ suggestions. I will pull the trigger on one of the two options probably next week and will let you all know the outcome.

Jssaab, if I go with TSWs, what kind of lead time do you to produce the center caps?

Thank you and I wish everyone a great week!

Hi thanks, its been fun making the decals. I have sent them all over the world. Its a great way to earn $$ to put into the Jag and not have the wifey complain (too much)

It takes about a week for me to get them made, You can just PM when you are ready. All I need is the size and the design you need.

Jssaab,

I would like to see how close you could match simply because your work is excellent! This design is also very nice - please let me know what you come up with and we'll go from there.

Thank you again!
