Working on a XF gear selector system which of which the original got faulty, a used one I ordered from ebay arrived today, fixed to the car, but it's locked at reverse and the selector is loose and shoot out when the unit is turned upside down.
other problem is when the engine is started, the selector does not shoot up automatically, moreover, the gear indicator lights are blinking.
Is it normal the selector shoot up while not connected in operation?
