When changing trans filter and fluid in audi a6 i had to have the vehicle level on jack stands, running, once the cooling fans kicked on, then i would check the trans fluid level and add as needed. I could not find in the thread if the same procedure was needed for the XJ8. When verifing fluid level after change, is there a set procedure? I have a 99 XJ8 base model.

Thank you Norri - The ZF5HP24 thread has the Fluid Drain & Refill procedure, but I noticed that I should have included the Filter removal & install PDF in that thread.
