In the last week, replaced both fuel pumps, repaired the ABS, fixed a broken wire in the airbag system, changed the diff oil, replaced the fuel filter.
Now for the first in a year, I don't have any warning lights on the dashboard.

Just put all the door panels back in after fixing my door latch micro switch problem. All four doors were fried. Had the driver side front bearing replaced and just had my CEL cleared by getting the vent valve replaced. Fixed the sport switch that would not stay locked. Rear brake job this week and she'll be perfect.

[QUOTE=Sean B;617862]How has that happened?

The panel adjustment is at the hinge and bump stops for in/out - up/down movement. Not an easy job to get right, when you move the panel you've got to keep checking all the shut lines.[/QUOTE

For years I've been looking at my trunk lid with the same problem wondering if it had been in an accident with the previous owner. A small adjustment in the rubber stopper and it looks completely normal!

Isn't it nice to have all that stuff done? I hate it when something on my car doesn't work.

Spend the last 3 days working through a long list of mainly small issues inside and out.
Mostly non-issues, just because I am a sucker for perfection.
Finished it off with a polish.

Took her out after all that, parked her up, set my camping chair, and enjoyed the beautiful lines while sipping my coffee....I can look at her design for hours.

Looks great!
Love the licence plate hanging straight off the bumper, instead of having a plastic frame behind it. I've done the same and it cleans up the front soooo much.
One day I'll get a 'euro' style plate, which is wider and shorter, so it obstructs less of the opening underneath the bumper

Over the last two days I took a clay bar to the whole car. Waxed from top to bottom, front to back. Took each wheel off cleaned, polished the wheels. Leather cleaner and conditioner inside. Cleaned carpets and floor mats. Cleaned windows inside and out. Rewaxed the top section hood, roof and trunk since it gets the most sun.
Installed new Cat on hood, changed air filter with oil change to follow in the coming days.

After realignment and wheel balance check drove it round trip to Wash DC from Va Beach VA. 440 miles: 26.5 mpg (US gallons) at 75 MPH. Normally 15.3 around town (22 MPH avg speed).

Not bad for an old crate.

Hey Jim....they're good figures ;o)
Keeping these beasts in alignment goes a long way to cutting down drag.
I reckon the 'sweet spot' is around 75mph as the motor is in the torque band which means you can relax the throttle...I hate using cruise control
as it actually has the effect of increasing fuel consumption and using cruise below 50 mph is patently rediculous.

Installed a Kenwood KDC-X998 receiver with Infinity speakers. Sweet sounds, 2 USB ports, Bluetooth for the phone and music streaming and probably a hundred things I'll never use....chuckle. I couldn't be happier with the setup!

Quick note: the wiring diagrams for the speakers is different that what's in the car...it's all easy enough to figure out as Jag, in thier infinite wisdom, saw fit to twist the speaker pairs together.

Yes, mine sat in the garage covered for another week because I did not have the time to do anything. Also here in Largo Fl, raining for the past 5 days. During the rainy season all the crazy drivers come out of the wood work....
