Default 2011 XJ Supercharged Part Out

As the title states I have a 2011 XJ with the supercharged 5.0 that unfortunately blew a head gasket. After having spent the time and money last year replacing timing chains, guides and tensioners I've decided I'm not going to go through the hassle of trying to fix the engine and just part it out. As of right now it is a whole vehicle and can work on parts pricing with anyone interested in something specific, car has about 96k miles and only aftermarket parts are Mina Gallery intake and Mufflers. Also have all the tools for doing timing chains. I am located in Grand Rapids, MI but can ship depending on the part.

The wheels I'd probably be looking to get about $200 a piece for with the only issue being one of the fronts was previously repaired by the last owner. Shipping would be the biggest thing I'd have to figure out due to the size and weight.

That is a pity - it's a very clean-looking XJ.
Have you thought of trying to sell the whole car first - maybe posting it in the for sale/wanted forum in Jaguarforums?
There may be an enterprising and optimistic person who may agree to take it for a reasonable price for the challenge of repairing it.
And that would be easier than dealing with parting it out - that's a bit of work in itself.

I had thought about it but wasn't sure what the interest would be in someone taking the whole car, mainly just for logistical reasons. I'm sure there is someone out there though as the car ran great until the rear crossover went again and the car overheated resulting in the head gasket going.

I agree. "Parting out" a car can be a long, drawn out process, and in the end, you could be left with a semi-disassembled carcass in your garage/driveway, that could be very difficult to dispose of.

What does the trunk mat look like?
I want to upgrade to the early one with metal rails?
Mine is just plain black carpet.

The mat is in decent shape with some scraping on the metal slides. It would probably clean up just fine.

Thanks much but I just purchased a used one off EBay as I was not sure if you would post back?
Sorry for the extra work!

Did you like the trunk mat with rails? Things slide around easier in the trunk with them?
