Went test driving a few 2012's today. The one we may go back and buy in the morning has the standard sound system which is supposed to have full ipod integration, but looking in the arm rest compartment I only see two USB connectors.. How/where is the ipod connector - or, how does it work?
..or was the salesman wrong?

 

one of the USB connectors is labeled as iPod. Plug your own iPod/iPhone cable into it and you are good to go.

 

does it have full integration/control on the console via that connection?

 

depends on what you mean by "full integration" -

does it provide basic control your iphone/ipod, yes (assuming it is a later model - older models are hit and miss)

does it control every possible aspect of your ipod/iphone, no

 

another _ Geek...Can you tell me what do you mean hit and miss. I have a 2010 XK Coupe, my iPod is about 4 years old and cannot be recognized by the vehicle? Is it the iPod of the system...any help would be great
