I'm new to this forum because I'm planning to get a new XJ. Does anyone know anything about the changes in the 2012 XJ. I'm trying to decide whether to wait a few months and get the next model year vs. getting the 2011. However, there are some great deals to be had right now for the 2011. One dealer was offering $10,000 off on a XJL. I'd love to get the Supersport if they had a more aggressive body styling over the base model.

 

There's a 2012 post a couple of entries down from this one. Take a look.

 

Nothing has been announced other than the addition of the rear seating package (reclining rear seats with massage) on the Supersport, and also some bespoke new leather options for the Supersport interior. Outside of that, we know nothing. And we really don't know anything about the new leather either, other than there will be some new colors. My hope is that we'll also see soft-close doors as an option, and the new 550HP engine in the SS with a more aggressive front and rear fascia. My guess is we'll know everything in about a month.

 

I want to see the 8 speed ZF box

 

Does anyone know when the 2012 will be out?

Thanks for the great info. It looks there will be a sports package for the 2012.25 model. I guess I'm going to wait to see what that looks like. Sure sounds exciting.
