Default XJ Quad Exhaust Tips

Stentplacer,

See: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ips-xj-151318/

They bolt on with no modifications to the existing exhaust system.

I may be able to get one more set. Price is $425 delivered. PM me if you're interested.

Also see: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ishers-138212/ I was unable to find any aftermarket "universal" quad tips that would fit without extensive modification to the existing exhaust system.

OEM are $294.13 each (need L and R) plus shipping, so total delivered will be well over $600. Mine are $425 delivered.

To me, a premium of almost 50% for OEM isn't "a little bit more " particularly when there is no compromise in either quality of manufacture or style. My aftermarket tips look exactly like those on the F-Type V8 R and quality is first class. For details, click the first link in my post #3, above. Why pay 50% more? Your money, your decision.

I can attest that Stuarts are of superior quality. Also, you cannot just add the XJR "tips" as the XJR rear silencer output exits inner side of the silencer and the "standard" silencer outputs in the center.

No, you are wrong. Because of you i spent extra $1000 for the rear silencers and center exhaust section, but everything is completelly the same. You just cut the the bigger part of the finisher. You can see the photos in the thread of XJR finishers.

Let's have our love of our Jaguars avoid another East-West confrontation.

My responses are based on a bolt on solution as opposed to "modifications that require cutting and welding, just simply that.

You are right but it is very easy modification to make it possible to install the XJR finishers. So easy that yo don't need to buy another tail boxes as they are almost completely the same. Even sound is the same. And they cost $400 each. So it is real waist of money.

It depends on what do you want from it: sell or not.

Rostman,

I wasn't serious - just joking ( an example of sarcastic Capitalist humor). I'm not raising my price.

You said the OEM quad tips cost $400 each in Russia. That was the basis of my attempt at humor - the OEM price in Russia is so high that even if I raised my price by 20% mine would still be a bargain. Being a capitalist doesn't mean you have to be greedy.

Do you still have the tips available?

Stuart
You understand me wrong.
For now in Russia OEM tips from XJR costs less then $200 each.
I was telling because somebody of you (Stuart S or Xjsss - i do not remeber who exactly said that) said that OEM finishers can't be put on the OEM tail boxes from 5.0 S/C so i spent extra $800 for pair of tail boxes but when i get all the parts i reailised that OEM finisher from XJR can be easily mounted on the stock 5.0 S/C tailboxes only with small cut work ($10-15) and you do not need to waist $800 for whose XJR tail boxes as they are completely the same as standart S/C.

See post #8, above.

You were fortunate to buy at those low prices. http://mobile.reuters.com/article/idUSL6N0U13GI20141217
