That XFR-S video is the greatest car review ever.

Anyone who goes from Sebring to gator farms to drag racing against Don Garlits to beignets at Cafe Du Monde has lived a full life. But wait, there's more. A long piece, but worth watching the whole thing.

Discounting the tech the XJL Supercharged is a wonder car to drive and I think in general the XJ's themselves have a cockpit that you just want to be in. It just rides so effortlessly and the steering is so precise. Living in Germany I get to drive the car to it's maximum potential. You can drive the car with one hand at 160mph!! I will hit the speed limiter and the car just smooths out. Love my car.

Yea, XFR-S video is entertaining.

ExpatJag, i suspect the limiter on all XJSCs is at 160mph?

Yes. That is correct. I went to Arden to have it removed and for some reason they couldn't do it.

If you get the sport & speed pack on the SC version then the top speed is increased to 174mph.

The problem with that is that you can not buy it after the fact. And I need it faster than that. I think I would be good with 190mph. Anything over that and I think I should be driving a hypercar.

I've heard that the XFR's will go beyond the usual 155mph limiter (indicated 160mph) if you have are in sport, manual/S and in 5th gear, if you have the selector in D then it will stop at 155/160, just what I heard...maybe it's the same with the XJ?

You can have the ECU flashed which will remove the speed limiter and enhance the power characteristics of the 5L engine.

There are several tuners that do this...ECG does and posts on the forums.

I was going to suggest the same. I know there was a member on here with a XJL SC, who had done the flash and concluded to be happy with the tune.
