2013 Jag XJ 3l v6 diesel auxhillary battery not charging
Hi, new to forum, my xj started a little electrical fault late last year when there would be a fleeting poer outage and then the adaptive lighting warning light would come on, the outage would cause the dash display to flicker on and off but if you turned it off and on it would be ok and run for a couple of weeks without any trouble, in time the power outage got a bit more regular so I put the vehicle to the local jag dealership and got no remedy for the fault but a to do list for £4,500 for work that didn’t need doing, anyway a few days after going into them the eco start stop stopped working although this only worked very occasionally I have found that the auxhillary battery is flat and receiving no power supply from the junction box that it sits on the main battery is fine and charged to between 12 & 13 v and chargers at 14 v with the engine running, has anyone had a similar issue, the car runs perfect except for the eco stop start thanks Gary
Well unless you can DIY the repair you will need a dealer to look at it.
I don't like the start/stop junk anyway but with a 2013 has the main battery been changed yet?
Maybe post a few details of exactly what the dealer did do and recommend?
